~Pilgrimage~

From all the mountains I have climbed
To the seas tossed and stormy as my life
To lands of unseen beauty and mystery
Which brought me to the serenity of your being

I have taken roads less traveled
My journeys fraught with adversities
Yet you have been my guiding light
Along life's dark path
Making my pilgrimage in this world my reason for living

I shall continue on this road to the unknown
Enduring whatever life holds in store
Feeling you are beside me in spirit
Knowing within my heart it has not been for naught

As I lay my head beneath the starry night
I imagine the perfection of your face
My heart is filled with inner peace
Knowing that this journey of my soul shall bring me home to you.
